What Is UFEC?

The Equestrian Club is an Intercollegiate Sports Club. Members of the club can be on one of three equestrian teams: Western, Hunt Seat (flat and over fences) and/or Dressage. They compete with other schools in our region as part of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association or Intercollegiate Dressage Association.

Members show in several divisions based on ability and previous experience and are judged strictly on equitation. Hosting schools provide the horses at each show and members draw lots to see which horse they will ride. Point riders are assigned before each class and their scores contribute to team standings. Individuals are ranked as well.
